Actress Bipasha Basu has recently drawn attention to food safety concerns after allegedly finding worms in a jar of protein powder. The incident, which was shared via her Instagram Stories, has prompted her to reach out directly to Tukaram Mundhe, the Maharashtra Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Commissioner, seeking his intervention.

In a video posted online, Bipasha appeared visibly shocked as she showed what she claimed were tiny worms in the protein powder she had just opened. "This Isopure is full of small worms. Tiny, tiny worms. The new jar that we opened is full of them," she stated while displaying the contents.

Bipasha tagged Mundhe in her post, expressing her concern, and wrote, "@tukaram_ias You are our only hope. So we don't get spoilt or adulterated stuff in everything that we purchase." Her appeal comes amid increasing scrutiny regarding food hygiene and quality in Maharashtra, where Mundhe has been actively enforcing food safety regulations.

The Maharashtra FDA Commissioner has been making headlines recently for his proactive approach in addressing food establishments' compliance with safety standards.
